I grew up in an agricultural college town in rural north-central Oklahoma called Stillwater. As a child, I fell in love with animal behavior through my experience of raising and showing pigs through my local 4-H program.

I completed my undergraduate degrees in Biological Science (B.S.) and French (B.A.) at Oklahoma State University. I studied abroad in Paris, France, and I’m a big fan of coffee and cats.
